Alton M. Hill, Sr. a Local Historian, From Winston-Salem, NC, Will Be Featured in an Upcoming TV Show

Al Hill will be featured in an upcoming TV show production for the A&E TV Network later this winter or spring, 2010. A show production film crew of Four Seasons Productions, New York City, New York, and their Executive Producer, from Los Angles, California, filmed Al’s part Saturday, January 16, 2010, in and around the Town of King and Haw Pond Church of Christ, North Friendship Road, in Stokes County, North Carolina. This was followed by another filming on Sunday, January 17th, also at Haw Pond Church, in which Al's Wife, Cathy Poindexter Hill, also appears in a non-speaking role.

The TV show, Paranormal State: "The New Class", is centered around Al’s ancestors, on his mother’s, Kiser family, side of the family, which includes the Boles and Spainhour families of Stokes County, North Carolina, who resided there in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Al appears as himself, a Historian, Master Genealogist, Author, Publisher, the Treasurer of the Poindexter Descendants Association, and a recent retiree from Wake Forest University, in 2008.

•Al’s ancestors who will be featured are the following:

•Al’s Great, Great Uncle, Burgess Henry Boles – b. 6 January 1883; d. 13 May 1914

•Burgess Boles’ Daughter, Roberta Elizabeth Boles, Al’s 3rd Cousin – b. 4 December 1887; d. 4 January 1906

•Martha Irene Spainhour, Al’s 3rd Cousin, - b. 12 January 1909; d. 4 December 1925

Al is the nearest living relative to all three of the above.

This show will air both nationally and internationally, in the early spring, 2010. Al has been involved in the production planning, with the Associate Producer, the Producer, who flew from New York City, to spend a week with him, prior to the filming.

An update will be announced when the exact date of the premier showing is known.
